Why You Need A Social Media Content Calendar

Social Media is such a powerful tool for business owners and bloggers worldwide. But it looses it’s power if you don’t use it correctly. If you’re anything like me, some weeks you are on point with posting to your social media platforms and other weeks you have no idea what to say. The issue with that is that your brand loses consistency and momentum. This is where a social media content calendar comes in!

She Does Not Attach Herself to Evil (2)

A social media content calendar is pretty self explanatory. It is a way to plan and organize upcoming content that will keep your audience engaged and open the door to attract new followers. Imagine knowing exactly what to post and when?! That’s the freedom that a content calendar gives. Never miss a day of posting again because you spend half the day trying to figure out what to post.

Content Calendar-Why

Below are some reasons why you need a content calendar:

It Saves You Time: Before I started working from a content calendar, I would decide what I wanted to post AND create the content on the same day. There were many days when I didn’t post anything because I couldn’t figure out what to post. A content calendar eliminates that. Before the day comes you already know what content you need to create. It saves you planning time. You know ahead of time what you need to create before it’s time to create it. There are even schedulers that you can use. Sometimes I create all my content in one day and just schedule it. What a time saver!

It Helps You Stay Consistent: Mental blocks happen all the time. You wake up and you have no idea what you want to post. A day goes by. Two days go by. Three days go by. By the time you know it you’ve gone a whole 2 weeks without posting anything of substance. Now you’ve lost credibility. Your audience won’t take you as seriously has they should and your forced to rebuild their trust again. Having a calendar eliminates that.

It Helps You Keep Track of Your Performance: Not every post is created equal. Overtime you will realize that some of your content does better than others. Organizing your content will help you easily see what content does the best and it will help you plan for the following month.

So hopefully by now I’ve convinced you that a content calendar will drastically improve your content output. I have created a 2018 Social Media Content Calendar just for you. There are 2 versions of this calendar. One is specifically made for the Faith Blogger/Entrepreneur in mind! And guess what?
